I thought I’d start a new thread. I’m looking at my trees and I’m thinking that this is probably them at their finest. The beautiful colours, the fine reticulation and the fascinating variegation. I love it all!

Couldn't agree more, spring is definitely the best season for me. Living near the coast mine never look they're best come autumn.

Wow, that is stunning. I love Moonrise, it’s one of my favourites. Yours is so pink.

For me peak colors are just about to pass. But the maples look the best right now.

Autumn, or Fall if you prefer, can be awesome too but where I live the summers are hotter and drier each year.

But I agree, it's the best time of the year for maples, especially this year when we had a lot of rain with sun in-between.

Amazing! I can see where my new love/hobby/obsession might lead. :). How many maples and how long has it taken you to develop this beautiful jungle?

The tyro always looks to the Autumn for maples. But those of use who have been doing it for a while: this is the best time.
