Hello maple lovers. Seeking advice as I'm sure this has happened to others. I have a bunch of potted maples, conifers, and shrubs on a drip irrigation system awaiting installation by me at my new house. Last week the temperature was 100'F three days in a row and upper 90's before and after that in zone 7b central Virginia. I was inspecting my plants and discovered my A.P. Kinshi was burnt badly. I found the drip emitter was not putting water out. I immediately watered it and added SuperThrive. Put it in full shade. Other than cross my fingers and hope this hard to find linearlobum that is very similar to Koto no Ito survives. Is there anything else I should do.

I would put it in the shade since it's potted.
Water it, but don't overwater : it happened here on a couple of mine while I was on holidays and my kids didn't water my trees everyday, but I'm pretty sure mine will recover.
I even dared to slip-pot one in a bigger container last year, without messing with the roots, with a mix of lava rock and composted pine bark. It thrived when the temps went back to 25-28° Celsius (77-82F)
Here today was 36°C (about 97F), and it was the same yesterday and will be the same tomorrow.
