Japan looks to AI to keep cherry blossom culture alive

    I'd love to try using something like that to see how well it does. The Sakura AI Camera website is only in Japanese and seems to require a password to get in.

    Of course, you'd need a Parks Board or whatever government agency that is prepared to act on the reports. The youngish park tree that is part of a very visible ornamental trio that I reported for two years while it was being overcome by the mazzard rootstock was never taken care of, is now a trio of two 'Akebono' and one sweet cherry.
