In The Garden: Ground Cover I.D

    Here's three ground covers. The first picture is the yellowish leaves in the center of the photograph, something has eaten half of one of the leaves. Thanks for any help identifying them.

    Hello - the first photo 2118 jpg looks like a purple aster which grows to approx 16 inches tall and starts purple flowers in Aug (it is the « hallmark » flower for Sept)

    it does spread - and is easy care, low water use

    wait a while and see how it grows and hopefully blooms

    the third photo is a rockery plant I think - it has blue bell-shape flowers in a few weeks —- look up campanula (many types)

    mine grows thru seams of the Allan Block stacked wall

    again it spreads tho I like it for that habit

    Thanks for the replies. I don't think it's caucasian penny cres, the leaves look different.
    The next time I'm back there I'll see if it's flowering which might make identification easier.
